Making my software work in Slackware Linux

An AI image of ram.
Three Gigs is all I can spare.

My Ubuntu 22.04 systems are nearing the dreaded "end of support". I might upgrade. Things might break as a result. So, I made sure that my Lua distro, "Lulua", works on Slackware 15 because I don't expect that there will be another Slackware release. This means it won't change, which means that my software will still work.

Lulua needed a few modifications. I made some special Makefiles just for Slackware. The ltcltk module now needs the source for tcl8.6. Anyway, I compiled lulua and ran all of its tests. It passed. Yay!

There are some advantages to using a Linux VM. Backups are easy, for example. Snapshots are another useful feature. I am sure that there are other benefits...

I was doing all of my software development in VMs until a few years ago. Until AI. What a detour! AI is over. Slackware forever!

So, I did this and it changed my life.
