Trippeling you're mispellings

An AI image depicting auto-corrected text.

Why am I still finding misspellings? Technology was supposed to save us from this!

Some of what I have found:

  • trippeling instead of tripling.
  • summerized instead of summarized.
  • moat instead of mote.
  • apart instead of "a part".

These were probably done by humans. However, I am now aware that simple wrong-word substitution may also be the result of auto-correct.

Word on the street is that the phone keyboards have a new and even worse AI powered auto-correct that changes words that have already been typed. Like, usually auto-correct works on only the current word being typed, well this new AI garbage will correct words that are even a few words back! The words might not even be visible on the screen! Is this fr?

Fr. This brings me to my next wondering. How is spellcheck going to work in the future? If I type "fr" will it suggest "no cap"? For real? For maybe...

Now, about that AI. It sucks. Don't need it. Even for grammar checking. Who cares? Incorrect grammar and misspelled words are human. Human-ish. Humanly? Humane? Well, at least until the AI intentionally starts adding such errors in order to appear human.

Oops, I actually do need AI for the crappy blog pics. Some day, I will use photos or drawings. I am working on it.

People in the near future won't even be able to read or write. I know this before you do, unless you are a teacher, then you have already known.

So, anyway, technology was supposed to save us from misspellings, but it didn't, but it will, but it will be AI, which will be worse.

Comments for this blog post have been disabled. I am aware that there are spelling and grammar errors on this site. Maybe I will blog about those. Thanks, I guess.
