Updates: July 2025
This new blog feature makes it easy to get the most up-to-date posts each month. In the "Updates" you will find links to posts from this blog, links from the internet, and meta-commentary.
July 27th:
- I made an html file that can save itself.
- How to search for running processes on Linux. A little help when searching for Linux processes.
July 20th:
- I got a lot of programming done this week. Many updates to the jobber script. It is now more like a mini systemd. It now controls a local webserver, and a local wiki server. I have big plans for the wikis. [Edit, August 2nd: I shouldn't have said systemd. It brings up some bad feelings, and there isn't really a good comparison here. Systemd was and is bad news (I might elaborate later). I wrote jobber so that I wouldn't have to use systemd (or cron, or anacron, or atd)! ]
July 12th:
- About some scripts I made this week. Just blogging that I did it.
- How to make Python virtual environments easier to use. The Python venv script is now public domain. Don't ever tell anyone where you got it. I don't want your tech-support calls.
July 6th:
- A grammar check plugin for SublimeText3 . Vibecoded.
July 4th:
- How to check your grammar and spelling on Linux. It ain't easy.
- How to make Python virtual environments easier to use. Another one from Hugh. It seems that the comment trolling has stopped. Something weird is going on.
July 2nd:
- I turned on spellcheck for the site! So many spelling errors!
July 1st:
